02 Personal Experience.
My personal experience is with depression and stress. After receiving the news that I should no longer run, I fell into a depression and started getting really stressed. I completely thought my life was over, because all my love and passion fell into running and training for races. How I handled it, wasn't the best choice because on good days where I didn't feel as much pain, I went for a run, and slowly the pain was increasing, and running was more a pain causer than a pain reliever. To this day, I'm still upset and stressed that I can't run, but I'm slowly realizing that the rest of life wouldn't be the same if I didn't give it up now. |
